Due to its high content of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, hemp oil has a composition similar to skin lipids, which makes it an excellent natural emollient and moisturizer. It is especially useful for dry, tired or dehydrated skin and nails. It increases the skin elasticity and water retention capacity in tissues.
Hemp seed oil has a chemical composition called Stearic Acid which is known to have cleansing properties that purge dirt, sweat, and excess sebum from hair and skin. It also adds vitamin D to the skin, allowing the absorption of calcium that is needed for soft, smooth skin.
It can also be used as a gentle makeup remover. If all of the makeup doesn't come off with one application of the oil, it can be repeated.
